I replaced a router at a customers site with a RB433 with 5ghz and 2ghz wlan. There I ran into an issue.
They have some software on ~40 laptops that is set to connect to [publicIP:serviceport].
On ~40 desktop pc's the same software is set to connect to [internalIP:serviceport].
[publicIP:serviceport] is forwarded (dstnat) to [internalIP:serviceport]
This works great for desktops accessing the service on internal network and for laptops accessing the service from public network. But the laptops cannot access the service from local network.
What is the (best practice) way to setup NAT so that the laptops can access the service on local network, using the public ip?
