Central hotspot

Mon Apr 01, 2013 12:18 am

Hi, I'm trying to move all of my hotspots to one that will work centrally, that will leave current hotspots almost as dumb devices and central mikrotik will perform everything (landing page, radius auth, shaping). I know that can be accomplished using EOIP tunnels and that works great, problem is that I don't want to supply internet only from central location but every point should have its own internet connection (image).

Is this possible and if it is how?

Thanks.

Thanks for the link but that is not what I asked for, I want to disconnect users connecting to radio by using hotspot that is running on central router.

Hi,

Setup each hotspot as if individual hotspot devices.
Make one the 'master' and install userman

Configure as per wiki article for userman with remote hosts.

Then configure remote hosts to use 'master' for radius.

So all have own routes to internet, but authenticate users from central userman/ 'server'

In the wiki, some perfect example configurations. I am using them myself :)
