x86 weird problem!

Thu Sep 12, 2013 10:40 pm

Our router is a E3-1230v2 supermicro server, this router that is commonly at 25 Mbps and 8k pps is sitting at 2 to 7% cpu usage all the time, but every 24 hours or less, ping to lan interface increase from >1 ms to 200 ms also wan is affected, cpu increases to 30% mostly used by firewall rules, and the router become a bit unresponsive, same traffic same everything.

How to fix back to >1ms and 2% usage, we just disable/enable whatever firewall rule (only like 10 firewall rules total) and walla back to normal for 24 hours if we do not do this the router will be forever lag. No changes in anything just by disabling and enabling back again fixes.

any ideas?

we also tried v6.3 same issue.

regards,
Fran
