PPPoE redial time interval

Tue Oct 15, 2013 7:51 pm

My ISP may block PPPoE temporarily if I re-dialed too fast.

I need a few second interval before the next retry.

Currently so it re-dials immediately after disconnected, so I can't get connected because ISP blocks me, may it think this is a brute-force attack?

When this happens, I have to disable the pppoe interface, wait a few seconds, and enable it again to get connected.

I can't find a option about retry time wait in pppoe settings.

Is this possible in current v5.26 ?

No, I don't think this is possible. I have the exact same problem with DHCP... if the router requests DHCP too many times, the ISP blocks it for a few minutes. I used scripting to get around this. (Try the connection, if it doesn't work, wait xx minutes, try again, etc).
