Why can't we just upgrade the OS and at the same time the firmware in one go?

Everytime when I upgrade I have to reboot the rb twice. First to install the new software package, 2nd for the firmware upgrade.. Why?


Is there any reason?

Everytime when people post issues on this forum or sent support requests first comment coming back is to have the latest versions running. So far never heard that a OS should be upgraded, but not the firmware... or v.v.

Anybody has any idea why this is like it is? And if it is possible to have one upgrade routine for both in one go....

I would like to see an option for this as well.
