Hi
I am setting up a Mikrotik RB2011 in test before it goes live.
it has 3 subnets, all firewall blocked from each other. (not using VLANS as the switch will not support it, they cant afford to buy one that does at this time)
192.168.10.0/24
192.168.20.0/24
192.168.30.0/24 (wifi with DHCP on router)
and I am using 192.168.88.0/24 as the management subnet which can reach all the above. i.e. no firewall blocking.
the thing I am seeing when pinging from my OSX laptop (192.168.88.254/24) to a Cisco SPA504G phone (192.168.20.12/24)
is some weird ping responses as seen here,
PING 192.168.20.12 (192.168.20.12): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.20.12: icmp_seq=0 ttl=63 time=1.152 ms
92 bytes from router (192.168.88.1): Redirect Host(New addr: 192.168.20.12)

4 5 00 0054 e069 0 0000 3f 01 ace4 192.168.88.254 192.168.20.12
I am also getting a similar issue on the other ethenet connected subnet when pinging a test PC (192.168.10.13/24 ) from the Management subnet same OSX laptop.
PING 192.168.10.13 (192.168.10.13): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 192.168.10.13: icmp_seq=0 ttl=127 time=1.347 ms

I am not seeing these weird ping messages on the wifi subnet, but on that I am seeing long variable delays pinging to a test PC on the wifi subnet with ip address 192.168.30.250/24
delays for all pings between 2 - 8 ms but sometimes it jumps to 75ms or more.
I am concerned I have some issue with the traffic crossing the router, and would appreciate any suggestions to work out what the strange ping messages are on the OSX device. I usually just see straightforward ping lines not all the 'redirect host' info. Hopefully nothing serious but it has me foxed.
