Greetings forumites,
I have a RB951ui-2HnD that I am using as the router for remote computer that I can't really access easily. The internet access is provided by a ZTE MF190 (Spark issued) that runs perfectly, for a couple of days...
Unfortunately this Modem has a firmware issue that results in it bricking itself after 4 days of being powered up (I'm assuming an overflow someone missed somewhere in development), and the only definite way that I have found of clearing this error and allowing the Modem to connect to the internet again is through the good old fashioned power-cycle.
However even though the scheduler is set up to run every night and power-reset the USB with a 5 minute delay the same firmware error is still appearing. Which leads me to my question:
How exactly does the USB Power reset operate? I had assumed that the USB reset would work identically to an unplug and re-plug, however this doesn't seem to be the case. What am I missing?
