RB2011UiAS-2HnD FLASHING LEDs after power loss

Fri Apr 22, 2016 10:24 am

HELP!

Power loss last night and after power got restored, my RB2011 did not get powered on. No lights activity whatsoever. So I took it off the shelf. Today, when I turn it on, all leds are flashing. Tried to reset by the means of the reset button and reset jumper to no avail.

Please tell me I can still save this router?

I would try a different power supply...the one that you were using during the outage probably just burned out.

Also, take the cover off and look for bad caps.

Tried with 2 different power supply same results. Any idea how to look for bad caps?

Tried netinstall but can't see the router being detected. Haven't tried via rs232.
Is there anyone experience something like this before? How did you solve it?

Google Images is your friend. Defective capacitors will have the top crown bulging out and likely be leaking something, or showing some corrosion on the top.

Checked but nothing of sort. For now the router is in its box as I have no clue how to fix it.
