hAP AC and 1Gbit

Mon May 02, 2016 3:22 pm

I have a 1Gbit/s internet connection, and was looking at hAP AC to replace the crappy CPE router.

If I read the hAP AC specs correctly, it should be able to handle 1Gbit NAT. However I do see some posts/reviews where it only handles around 300Mbit/s, and if Fasttrack is being added to iptables, it can handle just about 750-800Mbit.

So what is the right in a real world scenario?

Furthermore is the GPON module compatible with the hAP AC?

if you plan on using ANY real config on the router, your looking at ccr for 1gbit or x86, HAPAC won't come close if you use alot of rules.
