Hi all Mikrotik addicts,
I'm planning to replace my home network this month. I have several devices out of date that aren't homogeneous.
For internet, i mounted a ptp wifi connection (LOS 1miles) with ubiquiti bulletM2 and 14dbi omnidirectional antenna. I have lot of interferences and limited bandwidth ( max 12 Mbps)
For routing, the box of my ISP's father take in charge this function and DHCP.
For switching, i used 2x 8gigabit ports switch cascaded.
For wifi, i have a two tplink router with AP to cover my house. So without roaming.
I would like garbage all this old stuff and buy new powerful network devices.
So my needs:
- two low cost gigabit CPE in 5GHz
- one rack mount router to load balance internet access with LTE connection.
-one rack mount managed switch with at least 16 gigabit ports and LCAP.
- two AP with a centralized management, roaming and an hot-spot features for my guests. This AP will be power on ethernet.
For CPE, the new LHG5 is good but without gigabit port. No way. The sxt lite5 ac same default. So for this device, i looked for an alternative. Ubiquiti has launched his new low cost ac gigabit CPE named litebeam ac. Unless I have mistaken, Mikrotik don't sell a low cost CPE (< 70€) with this features. So Ubiquiti choice seems good.
For routing and switching, my first idea was a couple of a RB3011 and a 24 gigabit ports dlink switch. But this solution is expensive.
So i looked the CRS125-24G-1S-RM. This all-in-box board seems respond to my needs. But I have read some topics that talk about the poor performance of this device. In my context (no VPN, no NAT), do you think that CRS can be impact with this performance issue?
That's a good choice for my home network?
For AP, the hAP lite seems good. Can I manage this AP in Capsman?
Thanks in advance for your advices.
Best regards.
PS: sorry for my english.
