Calculating what routerboard to use

Mon Jun 06, 2016 10:45 am

Hi
Im wondering if i'm buying the right routerboard
Lets say I have a X equipment with X panel or dish

If i know max users is going to be 50 (near impossible max) and simple queues are going to be 51...
Will a home grade Rb941-2nd-tc do the trick, or do i need at least a 750 "x"?

You need to know how much total throughput you need to choose the right product. Additional features like QoS, the complexity of your firewall rules, and a number of other things will drag down total throughput much more than the number of users.

Are you talking about wired users or wireless clients connected to one radio?
