2011 & 3011 Series with POE PORT

Sun Jun 12, 2016 1:51 pm

as a service provider with more than 16 towers and using this equipment is very heavy that for a computer error that would be resolved by removing current and back to current force us to take the road and make up to 120km and climbing area mountain where neither the devil WANT to go ... when pensais UP draw a version of such equipment, it costs you both create manageable 10-port POE? would pay twice as much for them, one trip out would be amortized and less time resolution of faults and consumption control .... Really, think about it, they would sell like hotcakes!

2011/3011 fork with all(not only one)PoE out would make sense, especially in case of Standard/interoperable PoE.
aside suggested Hex poe lite and 260's - you may be also interested in say Powerbox http://routerboard.com/RB750P-PBr2

RB3011 + POE ports.
this would be very good.
the 3011 has good CPU (pppoe server, etc),  with  6 or 7 ports Gigabit + POE 24Vdc. would be very handy.

Now that ideally you have the option to power equipment with 48 or 24VDC and outdoor cabinet.
That would eliminate the tower equipment significantly.

Hi guys! The issue of using the 750 interior or exterior ... is not the solution, in fact we already have several mixed as well with 750p-pb outdoor in high or middle towers, but only if we need more ports for vlans or sectors , Cameras .., but it is to have more maintenance and consumptions and percentage of failures goes up, we have several 2011 with modification for passive poe through resettable fuses .. but we can not control them ... except with relays from the port of management 10 that extinguishes or Turns on the other 8 mouths and we lose 5 giga ports that happen to be 10/100 to use their tracks and supply them ... with cheap and effective @mikrotik can design and manufacture it ... would pay double for a 2011 or 3011 That had all its mouths with manageable POE ....

For us a perfect tower team would be as a 3011 router with all the POE ports with management as the port 10, on the other hand in the same 2011 and if they make a router like the 3011 but with 16 - 24 POE ports and ccr version of 12 POE ports in giga ... since 90% of our repeater centers are composed of 2011 and an external 750p-pb or 2 x 2011 one of them for trunk and the rest for sectors ... with a pair of Outputs to pull a rj45 and plug it in again because if you have left the toast sector we have already created fault, travel time and locomotion expenses ...

Connect a relay at port 10 poe out and you can control the power on all radios. It is the easiest way until mikrotik will release more than 5 port poe out router. The relay is normaly ON and when you activate poe out, it will cut the power. POE out will only power the relay so you can use any number of radios not limited by 1Apoe out.

The HEX POE will be close for smaller jobs, but I would live to see a powerbox variant of the hex poe, with the HEX dual core cpu along with a powerbox variant of the RB-3011. Rack mount and regular cases for the same boards would also be reasonable. Ubiquiti really has the better hardware solution for this type of application, but last I checked edgeOS still didn't have much on routerOS. The Web Power Switch guys have an awesome relay unit that can power cycle and control POE, but it is only for 100M ports. I guess we are left to cobble together something ourselves until someone ups their game.

Hi, yes, it is another option that s em had gone through the head ... another is to use a netprotector with power management for 8 independent ports, but I do not understand why Mk does not implement it in some version of its models ... Has with and without wifi, with and without screen, with and without more ram, rack and no rack and no ports with POE management? I do not understand...
