CCR1072-1G-8S+ RAM question

Sat Aug 27, 2016 9:18 am

Hi,

The performance test results of CCR1072 (https://routerboard.com/CCR1072-1G-8Splus) shows 4 scenarios with 2 CPU settings (1GHz and 1.2GHz) as well as the 2 RAM configurations (DDR1333 and DDR1600). From Normis' answer (http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... 45#p505852), he said that CCR1072 has a soldered-on ECC RAM. So my questions are:

- Are there 2 versions of the CCR1072 (perhaps an r1 with DDR1600 RAM)?
- Is the CCR1072 shipped with DDR1600 that can be clocked down to DDR1333 (is this even possible?) similar to the how the processor is clocked down to 1GHz?
- Is it possible to upgrade the RAM to DDR1600?

I'm curious on why there are 2 RAM configurations on the performance test results.

Cheers,
Andryan
