why mik don't have 4G integrated router

Fri Nov 25, 2016 4:40 am

usb 3G/4G modem is not suitable for massive deployment, why not integrate?

4G backup link is very usefull for retail customers, coz their business rely on internet connection/vpn, due to hevy use of CRM/on line payment/promotions activities.

(yes we have clients using about 300 cisco 887 router, but its too expensive for most customers (to massive deployment), missed a lots of opportunities. )

You can put a 3G/4G mini-PCI Express modem in RB912, RB922, this will be a more reliable integration than USB key.

Why not? connect a switch or router to the Ethernet port.

It doesn't look good, no external ugly antennas, no desktop case. 8)
Anyway, external usb modem is a better choice, you can replaced it at will.

wow self assembling a router is not a good idea for business,at least in our company.
You don't want to pay money, so Cisco is not good for you.
You don't want to put a board in a router, so RB922 is not good for you.
You don't want an outdoor unit, so SXT-LTE is not good for you.
And then you don't want to use USB.

Are you sure you are serious to suggest another development "for your business"???

No, you are wasting our time.
Integrated 3/4G router is a stupid ideea, thats why 3/4G usb modems exists.
Those integrated routers are sold mostly by mobile providers, so talk to them. Tell us how it worked.
