CRS226 SFP+ "no link"

Sat Jan 07, 2017 2:02 pm

Hey,

I'm having trouble getting the SFP+ ports on the CRS226 working.

I've connected two Cisco FET-10G modules to the switch and connected them in a loop (with loop detection disabled as a precaution) to eliminate any outside faults, but I can't get a working link...

The SFP section in WinBox looks like this:

I'm not sure if those modules really just aren't supported, but it really looks like it should be working, it even detects when I unplug the cable ("Rx Lose" indicator), it just never establishes a link.
I also tried disabling auto negotiation but that doesn't make any difference...

The same modules (and fibres) are working in a D-Link DGS-1510 switch and on my Mellanox ConnectX-2 cards.

Does anybody have an idea if it is possible to get this working or can point me in the general direction of some definitively working SFP+ modules that can be bought used cheap?
I'm a student and I don't have a big budget, so buying new name-brand transceivers is out of the question...

Since nobody replied I looked for a replacement SFP+ module and I bought some customized transceivers from fs.com, they are cheap and are working great.
