Link Aggregation Capability - Channel Bonding

Mon Feb 06, 2017 3:34 am

Hi,

I have a mikrotik CCR1036. I'm planning to make 4 channels LAG. Where each channel has 2 ports. The expected theoretical throughput would be 2Gbps per channel.

Using LAG(Link Aggregation -IEEE 802.3ad)/ Channel Bonding, Layer 2/3 packets, No Queues, No Firewall Rules, No mangle Rules:
1. Would I be able to achieve around 2Gbps per channel?
2. Would I be able to have at-least 8Gbps of non-blocking switching capacity?
3. Is there any issues/limitations with Mikrotik Channel Bonding?

Any answers or suggestion is very much appreciated.

Thanks,
TCC
