the lisence on your HDD routerOS installed, that's no problem to move other machine.

when are you installing RouterOS to new HDD, you must buy new key.

or just move the old HDD to the new machine - the license will not change.

if you must change the drive to a new one, contact support to receive a replacement license key.

I have a question that is similar to this...
I have a router, and i have a hunch the drive is going out, it will not boot sometimes unless i let it rest first.
My question is...
I need to change the drive out, do i just request a new license from Mikrotik through the support email address, or can i clone the drive using ghost or something similar?

email support for a replacement, sometimes the bios or ide adapter will change the license even if using the same CF.
