store your backup files in a secure place. a little hint - in your radius server they also are stored in plain text.

Hi,
I start upgrade our MT with automatic backup to @mail. (http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Send_Backup_email)

Because I use ISP outgoing mail servers I stuck by security reason. (Plain text, password)

What You recommended to send automated backup from MT behind ISP?

MT encrypts supout so the tools to encrypt are already in ROS. I would also like some kind of encryption for emailed backup files.

I like seeing your passwords in plaintext ;)

I like deciphering them from users.dat too.

All safety is an illusion.

in your radius server they also are stored in plain text
With FreeRadius that's optional, but usually they are in a MySQL database as plaintext.
