RB44 Transmit Timed out

Sat Jul 04, 2009 1:11 am

Not sure if this is the correct location for this post, however, here it goes.

We are experiencing problems with Linux Cent OS 5.3.2 and the RB44 4 port Ethernet card, we are running the via drivers on the equipment and are getting errors such as:

Jul 3 13:47:52 ns1cn kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out Jul 3 13:47:52 ns1cn kernel: eth1: Transmit timed out, status 0000, PHY status 7869, resetting...
Jul 3 13:47:52 ns1cn kernel: eth1: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa
0x41E1

This happens more often as traffic is ramped up, it happens on eth0-3 attached to this card.

We have turned off the energy saving as some posts elude to and also locked down the auto neg. so it does not auto neg speed and link.

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

I think better suited would be a any general linux forum as this card is a VIA chipset based ethernet card, and the drivers MikroTik didn't make.
