SXT r2 - only vertical polarization

Tue Jun 03, 2014 12:17 pm

SXT - 5nD r2 work in vertical polarization only with chain1 enabled. Older SXT (first revision) need enabled rx on chain 0.

I try it witr "r2" without enabled rx on chain 0 and it works good.

It is new feature SXT -5nD r2?

some newer chips could also work with only chain1 enabled but we still recommend to use chain0 as a main one and chain1 only when chain0 is already enabled.

Thanks for answer.

Can you please specify which chips... ?
but we still recommend to use chain0 as a main one and chain1 only when chain0 is already enabled.
But why? With only chain1 enabled it works very well (r2 revision of SXT). In very noisy environment is better only chain1 rx enabled. (only vertical polarization)
When is chain0 rx (horizontal) enabled then is receiving multiple interference = lower transmission rate

Thanks

why? because not all revisions support this, so currently we can't recommend to use it like this on all devices, because they can't be easily identified.

I think r2 revizon of sxt can be easily identified...
In winbox show r2, on sxt is r2 label, on paper box is r2

It work for us better (in vertical) when is used only chain1 enabled.
It is information for other users - if you have only vertical AP and SXT r2 ---> try this :)

My RB2011 failed to start up properly after a power failure today. The LCD is stopping on the "starting services" screen. I booted again with the RS232 terminal and get some messages (attached, inline below) which indicate that the USB hub is failing to enumerate. After this, I can log in but none of the settings seem to be stored.
