Same issue. Routerboard 411u with a Sierra Wireless MC5725 mini pci e CDMA card. LED on the board is lit when the card is installed, but the OS does not show any sign of it in PCI or USB (or PPP for that matter). I sent a supout file and requested support through Mikrotik, but was told:
"then we can't help, it should be recognized under usb section. Check if the card is plugged in correctly into the slot."
So the answer is; yes, I have verified that the card is inserted properly.
I've enabled all the logging I could, but do not see anything related to hardware. This card is listed as supported hardware (as of v3.18) and was easily found and listed in the device manager on a laptop running Windows. I can only assume that the 411u is functional because the led comes on, but that may not be the case. Any advice on troubleshooting would be helpful. Would like to resolve this *before* any warranties expire.
Some questions I may ask that could be helpful in troubleshooting...
- This is a CDMA card for Sprint, which does not use a SIM card. Does the absence of the SIM card prevent the board from detecting the device?
- This card has not been activated on my account. Did not want to add it to my account if it doesn't work. Would this possibly prevent it from being found? I can understand it not connecting to Sprint, but not showing up at all seems odd.
