Solved. my own stupidity standing in the way. All it took is the right usage of the Net::Telnet module. Sorry for the bandwidth.
Hi,
I am trying to program an RB411R (which has no serial port) over telnet. The host side is a Linux box with a home grown program using Perl and Net::Telnet module.
I can login fine to the RB411R, but when I issue a command, I never get a reply, the command is simply not executed. I just get a prompt again. For example I try to do an "/import somescript.rsc", this script never get's executed. Or I do something simple like "/ip address print", but just get a prompt, no data.
I login as 'admin+ct' to get rid of the color terminal stuff, but still receive some unasked for Escape-sequences from RB411R.
RouterOS is 3.25.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Reg
