Suppress bootup messages on serial0?

Fri Dec 04, 2009 9:53 pm

Is there a way to suppress the messages that appear out serial0 during bootup?
I still want to be able to press the <delete> key to enter the booter menu if needed.

I have a serial device attached to serial0 that I access vi '/port remote-access' and I don't want the initial booter messages sent to this device.
It would be nice if I could change the key used to enter the booter menu from <delete> to something else of my choosing too.

We requested that a month or two ago and was told that we should expect to see it in a future release.

Basically we asked for 'quiet mode' option in the booter that will suppress all serial output unless a key is pressed.
