RB433AH with SanDisk Micro SD

Fri Dec 11, 2009 12:59 am

I looked in System->Stores and the Files.

No sign of the 2Gb Micro-SD.

It *is* plugged in, and works under Windows, and formats/mounts under Linux on a USB adapter.

System->Drivers says there is a MMC driver.

ROS is 4.3, Board is RB 433AH. No WiFi cards at all.

Where have i gone wrong ?

Several different flavours of Micro SD have given me hell on my 433UAH - not detecting, killing performance, detecting then dissapearing.

I have given up on MicroSD all together on this board.

Yes, that's why we have the hardware wiki, where you can see tested microSD cards

I bought (yes, money again)a Kingston Micro SD card today.

That didn't work either.

I suppose i should read the wiki.

Having done low-level stuff with SD and MMC cards, i find it really very odd that the 433 cannot read these cards.

Can you give any clue why they are not recognised ?

DOH !

I totally missed the money making opportunity.

Would you like a fully-working-for-all-SD/MMC-card driver ?
