411 config disappears

Tue Apr 06, 2010 3:37 pm

We just received a new batch of 411 in with OS 4.5 on them. I program them through the mac address and everything is ok. It shows both interfaces. I exit winbox and click on IP address and there is nothing showing. I have tried 5 different boards and 3 different radios and they all do the same thing. I tried installing 4.6 on one of the boards and same thing.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

TIA

Leonard

Make sure you're running the most current version of Winbox.

Also, are the interfaces bridged together?

I have the latest version of winbox and they are not bridged. I can connect through the mac address and the configuration is there. If you connect through the ethernet port the configuration is not there.

Make sure you are connecting using an IP address and not using MAC connect. Winbox will sometimes not update immediately when opening up a new window in MAC connect mode. The results will look exactly like you are describing. If you connect to the routerboard using an IP address, this should not happen.
