hi guys, can you give me hand with the bootloader modification, Ive soldered a Elpida D5116AFTA-5B-E the same chip as the RB411AR but it only recognize 32Mb, please engenieer team, can u make me a bootloader with 64mb? please
your faithfully
I soldered an IC with 64Mb, but Ive to modify the bootloader to have the whole 64Mb, Im sure if I get the bootloader of RB411AR it will work.I would like to have this too. But i don't think we'll get help with DIY projects from official stuff members because there are other options from routerboard higher price ranged with more ram. It is usual and normal to protect your investment. Let me know if you find something
regards
the bootloader is stored in a tiny serial flash chip. PM25LV512 and a copy in the nand flash. the serial number and model is stored in the serial flash. I think it just compared with models, I dont know for sure if the memory address is mapping static o based on boards.I think will be harder o modify fwf file, see 493 and 493AH. It uses the same firmware and it have different memory size.
Maybe check openwrt sources can help you.
Did u dump the bootloader chip or this file is from routerboard.com?
not yet, radu is working with eeeprom chip to get valuesany update ?.....

Please tell me how you removed and replaced the 66 pin IC without damaging the board traces. It looks very professional.
It was a lot of work for me just to count the pins.
