Hi there, I have an RB411. I recently lost connectivity to the ethernet port. The ethernet port does not show as connected on the pc and I cant access it throgh winbox. I tried using a serial cable to no avail. I seem to be stuck at the moment. Who can help me recover my 411 plsssssssss

Have you tried shorting the Soft Reset pad/jumper and powering it up ?

Thanks. i tried reseting many times without success. When i connect a serial cable it show connectivity on the pc lan icon for a fraction of a second and disconnects. I cant access through serial either. I used 115200 as my baud rate. What can i be doing wrong. Thanks

You're probably not doing anything wrong and the board is broken.

I have the same problem with RB411 & RB433, the ethernet port is dead but the device boots up and the wlan interface works fine. I can connect to device through serial port but the ethernet shows unplugged!
somebody please help! I have 3 RB411 & 1 RB433 with the same problem.

my suggestion would be to check weather you see any output on the serial console, if you do, adjust baudrate so you see actual readable symbols. then reset configuration, either by software command or reset hole. then check if you got the connectivity of ethernet back. If not, contact your distributor to initiate RMA procedure. Just note, that it could have been damaged by improper installation.
