Hi all. Have funny question, is it possible to solder two LMR400 cables together? (have antenna with cutted LMR400 cable and dont have NFemale connetor)

Sorry - get n-male connector, so connected antena as it should be.

I have done it, and it does work but you will have more loss in the splice than you will if you use N connectors and do it correctly. The trick is to make sure the braid covers the inside splice and that the inside splice is covered with tape or other insulator before you put the braid together. solder braid at least at 2 points.

Still not as good as using connectors, but it will work in a pinch.
