RouterBoard 433

Thu Dec 02, 2010 10:31 pm

I was curious about the capacity of the 433 board. I have about 630 simple queues setup for bandwidth management and average about 35mbps of data. The router is mainly there just for monitoring, I use a Cisco 3845 for my routing. Here lately the 433 is not allowing much traffic to pass through and actually slows the network to a crawl. I setup a new one and it did the same thing...any ideas would be great...thanks

why do you need 630 simple queues? It's not normal setup. use PCQ

I use 1 queue for 1 customer..I put their IP address in and can monitor how much bandwidth they are using and also set their speed . Is that not a good idea? I'm fairly new to the MikroTik router...

you could use two PCQ queues to achieve the same (with no resource usage to speak of) and use Traffic Flow or other methods to monitor bandwidth.
