Omnitik 2.4Ghz

Thu Jan 10, 2013 6:53 pm

Any chance you could make one of those. The groove and the Metal options have not worked well for us, and we need an outdoor AP for 2.4Ghz for clients.

How's Omnitik at 2.4 GHz? Will it produce? I'd like to see.

I must be blind but there is not such unit in this presentation.....
And yes, when can we see a 2,4Ghz Omnitik? We have 2,4Ghz SXT's so now we need an AP to work with.
The 60 degrees SXT is not an option because you need 4 to cover a 360 degree sector which makes it unworkable (we only have 33Mhz bandwidth channel). Without any time synch and the plastic box this is asking for problems...
4 units to cover a 360 degrees zone makes it also way too expensive!

An 2,4Ghz Omnitik would make a perfect solution! And there is a good argument to bring it on;

Many vendors in the mid and top level WISP industry are leaving 2,4Ghz behind. But due to this the 2,4Ghz band is regaining its use again in open countryside regions. When there are relative few 2,4Ghz domestic devices around 2,4Ghz networks with full band usage and NV2 build on top of the roofs (so SXT's CPE's) is performing surprisingly good to serve scattered houses. In urban areas this wont work since here the noise levels from interfering domestic devices is becoming to much....

So please, bring us a 2,4Ghz OmniTik! I'll bet there is plenty demand for it.....

Oh, and about the mentioned .pdf with the promised new devices;
Several of these are months after their forecasted release still not available to my dealer. I asked them and they tell me they are not available.

I'm referring to:
- SXT SA
- SXT HG
- rb912G OUtdoor
- R11E-HPND miniPCIe

So, any news?
