Asus RT-N16

is it possible to install Microtik os on an Asus RT-N16?

I could be wrong but I've been searching for a good router also so I could give you lots of info but too keep it short, I believe the answer is "NO".

If you want to use SOHO router with ROS, you need 1) storage flash memory (for ROS) at least of 64 MB (none of SOHO routers has so much, mostly 8/16 MB); 2) router must be built from Atheros hardware components. So, easier is to build your own x86 based router...

no, router must be X86. other architectures will not work, routerOS only works on RouterBOARD(TM) devices and X86 devices, no exceptions

And besides...the RT-N16 is rubbish compared to the Mikrotik gear.
