Hello all,

I would like to replace my dlink dir-825 router (based on Atheros 680mhz chip) on RouterBOARD. But I would find answer on my question before I buy it.

My ISP provides 100 Mbit internet acces over pptp. So, router connects to ISP using pptp connection and then share this connection for everyone in lan. DLink lacks performance and its throughput only 60-70mbit. When I establish pptp connection to isp from my pc (router only in nat mode) I see full 100mbit throughput. This points that router lacks performance for sharing pptp connection.

Could someone recommend RouterBOARD which can handle such load? I see that some RouterBOARD models have same cpu performance as my dlink, but I'm not sure are their software+hardware design better than dlink to handle such load. Is there any measurements of mikrotik routers performance in such cases as my?
