Restart RB1200 every day, aleatory

RB 1200
Traffic - 35MB
Version: 5.6 after 5.7 was drawn

The RouterBoard randomly reboot during the day. Even with lower traffic it restarts. Average temperature 55 degrees. And both have the same problem RouterBoard. I'm worried because I still have two more of them here. Saver if I would like to have more people having the same problem. And how to solve. I have already sent the file to the support. More time someone has already managed to solve the problem.

Thanks

right now a RB 433 AH with RouterOS 5.6 has rebooted.
In the LOG you can see the follow message:

router was rebooted without proper shutdown (cause1)

with the Version 4.xx i never have this problems.
I hope MT FIX this problem.

Hello everyone.
My RB1200 has problems after a scheduled reboot (swicth off).
After the reboot, the ethernet LEDs number 1 (connected to a cisco router) are turned off. Controls "watchdog" and NetWatch containing scritp running reboot, have no effect.
Given the problems mentioned on this thread at this point I can not understand if the problem is hw or sw type. I do not know what to do. Change rb1200 with another router or wait for new firmware, or send my 1200 for repair hoping it's a hardware problem.

How did you solve this problem? Firmware latest. ROS 5.7 or a test build 5.8 and still have problems with reboot
:(

Hi there,

I own two RB1200 that just put them on production and they happen to have that problems. Every 5-30 minutes they reboot aleatory.

Just sent the support.rif to the vendor and to the Mikrotik support.

Upgrade RouterBoot firmware to v2.37
http://routerboard.com/RB1200

Upload the firmware file to router and upgrade with command:
/system routerboard upgrade
Reboot router after this command is entered.

Please send us new supout file if you still experience rebooting on RB1200.

I have had the EXACT same problem. It was every other day, now every other week. I was connected to a Cisco ASA on one side and Cisco router on the other. Some times both ports went dead. But I could get to the other ports. Upgrading from 5.2 to 5.6 seemed to reduce this occurrence, but it still happens.

Hello Normis. RB1200 have procesor PPC 460GT-SUB600T it runs on 1000Mhz

But default frekvency for this chip is 667Mhz. It can be a source of problems?

Just go to System>Watchdog and uncheck the timer.

you think we changed the CPU with a software update? :) of course not, so your assumption is not correct. it was purely a software issue with the ethernet driver.

The cause of reboots is defined correctly ?
RB1200 - MD - eth1, eth2, eth3 - reboot
RB1200 - MD - eth0, eth10 - reboot
RB1200 - UA - eth0, eth10 - good

NO, but PPC 460GT-SUB600T = default frekvency for this procesor chip is 667Mhz and your RB1200 have with this procesor chip default frekvency 1000Mhz.
It means that it is overclocked from production?

I updated our RB1200 to 5.10 pre.
After ~ 5 hours it rebooted about 10 times in 20 minutes.
Downgraded to 5.8.

As I mentioned early.
We have RB1200 with eth10 and it works perfect.
And we have RB1200 with eth0, eth1, eth2 - that works like this - restarts every day.

there is no "same" issue with RB711. if they are rebooting, it's because of some other issue. make a new topic or email support.

Thanks for reply,

I started a thread here the other day and it disappeared, but there is also one over in the wireless forum that Uldis responded to and I have also sent in several support files to Uldis but haven't heard anything back, I created another ticket tonight for it. Ticket#2011121566000092

I downgraded one of units I am having problems with to 5.6 with 2.36FW. No reboots yet but it hasn't been long enough to tell for sure.

Thanks,

It seems that my troubles were IPSec related(site-to-site IPSec with default encryption).

1. no, this had nothing to do with IPsec
2. THIS IS ALREADY FIXED IN v5.11 !!! Upgrade and there is no more issue on RB1200
