Routerboard Hardware green certificate:Environmental/Energy

Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:44 am

Hello,
Can someone list the certifications that a Routerboard has.
Particularly interested in those related to Environment or Energy Efficiency.
I do realize this sounds odd and I am not asking about FCC ETSI or ITU certifications.
But I have a requirement to confirm if these boards have any such certificates.
If someone knowledgeable can confirm, perhaps an aspect of the FCC ETSI ITU certificattion for a given standard includes as a component some elements of environmental or energy efficiency.
regards,

RouterBOARD doesn't have such certificates, but it doesn't mean it't not compliant with the requirements. You can apply for certification yourself, probably.

also, if you have some RouterBOARD in your sights, you can check power consumption on routerboard.com or just ask in the forum. As normis said - they might be compliant, since power consumption of the router can be adjusted (WiFi module output) and board itself usually use 2W - 6W and that also depends on what you are using on the board :)
