Extra storage

Sat Oct 22, 2011 8:10 am

Since Mikrotik don't have any plans to add drivers to use the mini-PCIe port for SSD drives, would this product work: http://www.bplus.com.tw/CardReader/MR14.html

It is an adaptor to convert mini-PCIe port to a SD memory card. The 411U only has 1 USB port 0 SD card slots. Would it work as RouterBOARDS must have drivers to make the SD slots work on other boards that have SD slots?

Thanks for any help.

I doubt this will work, but why can't you just use the USB port for adding storage? Something tiny like this http://www.gizmowatch.com/entry/buffalo ... e-ve-seen/

Actually Normis, my USB modem does have a built in SD card slot. I might try and see if that works - if it doesn't, any chance it could be added?
Most of the newer Sierra Wireless USB modems starting at 312 and up have this so it may benefit multiple modems.
