RB1100AH - Faulty interfaces?

Mon Apr 02, 2012 7:58 pm

Hello All,

I have been experiencing some apparent hardware issues with some newly purchased RB1100AH boxes purchased at different times for different locations. I have a ticket in with MikroTik Support already, but just wanted to see if anybody else has experienced something similar.

Ethernet interfaces on three new units refuse to link at 1Gbps. Two of them would only link at 100/Half-duplex, and would not transmit traffic at all, only receive. The third links at 100/full and receives/transmits traffic fine, but will not link at 1Gbps.

This happens at two completely different locations connected to different networks. At both buildings, the units connect to a Cisco 4507 on a Gigabit copper blade (WS-X4424-GB-RJ45).

All three boxes refuse to establish a link with auto-negotiate (with 1Gbps included in the advertisement) or statically configured to 1Gbps. The only way I get link to the boxes, is to use auto-negotiate with 1Gbps removed from the advertisement, or setting the ports statically at 100Mbps.
