Port mirroring on routerboards

Tue Apr 03, 2012 3:59 pm

Hello all,

i actually own a rb433uah that is acting as internet gw, ppoe client for my adsl provider. Its fit with 3 ethernet ports
and i was trying to make port mirroring work between port2-port3 but does work. I had a look on the web that explains
the port mirroring functionality based on the switch chipset, and would like to make you a question.

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Sw ... p_Features

If i get a RB493G, can i create rules that mirror traffic from several ports to vlan logical interfaces, if the source ports
are allocated physically on diferrent switch chipsets ?

Thank you
Javi

Please post what type of switch chip does this router have. You can check it with
/interface ethernet switch print
