Quickset suggestions

Wed May 09, 2012 12:33 pm

RouterOS now has two Quickset modes - CPE and AP. They include basic settings so you can get your router running in a few seconds. Select the mode, connectivity type (Static, DHCP client, PPPoE client) and some other things, and device works.

Which features would you like to see improved/changed/added ? Do you think you would use it more, if we added some other setting? How about selection of predefined roles (standard firewall; PCQ for LAN or other)? Give your suggestions here

all in quick set page

also by default should all rx/tx HT Chains be selected

I think it chooses the first Wlan by default. We will have to make special support for multi-Wlan devices in quickset. Maybe ability to choose the interface? Any suggestions in this regard?

I think:
1. By default it should select first from active interfaces.
2. If no active interfaces present - firs from inactive with possibility to activate it.
3. Possibility to choice what interface will be used.

A firewall suitable for home users to be able to configure quickly so that you don't ave to login to the router once it's setup to add the rules.

A simple Qos setup as well.
