SOLVED RB 800 - voltage monitor and system stores

Sat May 26, 2012 1:26 am

Hello @ all,

I have two questions concerning the RB 800. (ROS 5.15)

First: I tested the board before using it at the top of a tower and the voltage monitor works correct. I put it at a tower where it is working with a 12 V - battery and the monitor shows me 15,4 V. The battery and the charger are working fine and if I measure the voltage at the tower with a voltmeter it is 13,2 V.

What can be the reason of this misinformation?

Second: I use a CF-Card for user-manager and web-proxy and it works fine. If I look in System / Stores / Disks it tells me
         Total Space Free Space Status
CF1 30.7 GB 30.1 GB ready
system 520.1 MB 957.3 MB ready
Who can explain me this? I don´t understand, what I see. I have more free space than total space??? And I use the card, not the system-memory.

Regards

Uli

What is the ambient temperature at the place, where RouterBOARD 800 is used?

What RouterOS version do you have? What kind of CF do you use?

Hi Sergejs. Why Voltage is dependent on the outdoor temperature? RB800, ROS 5.7

ulikroessin,

could you please send support output file from the router, where store reports wrong information?
Thank you very much for the cooperation.

honzam,
Could you please clarify, where is the bug in your attachments?
/system health provides you with informational values about voltage/temperature, that can alarm you when something goes wrong with the specific board.

Sorry, my mistake. OID is wrong.
But my Ticket#2011082666000329 is stil not soved. MT team (Janis Krumins) promised to perform the calibration on RB800. But still nothing.
We have ten pieces of RB800 without monitoring Voltage :(

The problem is solved by support. Thank you!

As this is only informational error, you can continue using RB800 without any
issues.
