I am going with no, but wanted confirmation. The BaseBox 2 is listed at 14W at 24V or around 580mA. The 260GSP is rated for 500mA per port, which wouldn't be enough for the BaseBox 2. Right?

Interesting... per http://routerboard.com/RB260GSP it is rated for 500mA per port.I just tested basebox2 with R11e-2HPnD + LTE modem, everything connected to 260GSP and max traffic running trough. i got 450mA .
but as far as i know 260GSP should have 1A on one port
I do not know that much about Amperes as I have seen the RB750UP fail in powering up a 433AH with 1-R52, a AIRGRID M5 and an SXTG. Sometimes rebooting the 750UP gets them all up but then the next minute they will start failing one by one. Upgraded firmware & OS and everything possible.electrically it is the same as RB750UP, so limits are the same. 1A per port and 2.2A total.
documentation will be adjusted accordingly.
Please make sure you use the newest RouterOS versions as newer versions have newer POE firmware version. We never had something working on a POE out port of mikrotik equipment
we de several tests on the field with omnitik poe and yesterday a we did try a groove on a RB2011, they all just go on an off a gain...
Thanksyes, it is possible. RB260GSP uses same passive poe configuration as 100Mbit ones do.
