dead Sxt lite5?

Mon Jul 21, 2014 8:09 pm

Hello, i have a strange situation : i`ve installed two weeks ago a wireless link to one of my clients and after 3 day the sxt on client side was dead : no lan link no wireless response, no beep on boot. I changed then with another SXT lite 5 and after 5 days the same... no lan link no beep no wireless response. I`ve notive that if i push the reset button and power them up they boot , on default configuration (this is normal) , i made the settings to make the wireless link again and then reboot. Dead again. The only thing i can do to bring them alive is to boot them with reset button pressed, upgrade ros to 6.17, the latest , reboot and i have to press again the reset button to boot , after all this when the new ros is installed then behave normaly, i can reboot them and they boot without a problem. Can anyone help me to find what is the problem with them becouse is verry anoying to make this steps every few days. I have a lot of 5hpnd installed to other clients and they do not have any problem.

When you get it to boot with the button, you can upgrade RouterBOOT version (/system routerboard upgrade), as it looks like the problem lies there. Let us know if you succeed

Hello, this is almost the same situation as in my case. I have got an 411GL sometimes working 5 days, once just 2 minutes and then dead. Then i need to plugged off and back. So far i do not know what the problem is. I think this is not ROS problem.I am using 6.17 with 3.18 routerboot.

I tried different power supplies, the problem is still exist.

I understand, my 411GL working, but unreliable. Uptime record is 5 days, after dead.
Then i plugged off and back, working couple minutes and then freeze again. If i wait 1 day, and then plug back, working again 5 days.
I have no idea what can be the problem, i think this is not ROS problem. Very annoying problem, because this is an versatile, powerful device.

Hi

I have 2 SXT Lite5 dead about 2-3 days after upgrade to 6.17. Only way to get them alive is reset button to netinstall. Rest of my SXT i've downgraded to 6.15. I change power supplied without success. Is any other way to reset SXT without button pressed?
Sorry for my English :-)

Greetings.

There isn't any ipsec package in ros. So how you think it can be removed?

Any Mikrotik Router behaving in a strange way.....just NetInstall them with latest firmware and upgrade its Routerboot version as well. Netinstall solves 90% problems other than hardware related.
