Rb951ui with arduino, raspberry pi or alternative help

Sun Aug 10, 2014 8:48 am

I will try to explain what i want to do, hopefully someone can help me.
I have looked around to find a way to connect an arduino to a rb951 with the usb port, it has been done using the serial port special login, but what i really want to do, is send a command to create a new hotspot user with certain amount of time and bandwith allowed.

The general idea is to have a coin selector to accept one kind of coin, detect how many have been introduced and acording to the amount, send a hotspot new user command to mikrotik to allow internet access.

Will arduino be able to do it?

Can mikrotik feel a pulse (everytime a coin is inserted), run a script and when a fisical button is pressed
Send a command to add a new hotspot user?

Maybe someone can come up with a different idea to accomplish this task.

Any input will be appreciated.

yo estoy interesado también en hacer algo igual, pero no consigo comunicarme por telnet al mikrotik, te paso un enlace donde explico mis problemas.
