I've been waiting for this I hope

I'm wanting to replace some old closed access points (indoors) with these. However I'd like to still have backwards compatible 802.11b/g/n radio.

Can i just plug in a R11e-2HPnD to it? Which enclosure do you recommend?

802.11ac is compatible with a/n by itself. Even if you run a 802.11ac AP, the a/n devices can still use it (unless you configured otherwise).

oh, uh, I apparently read wrong I thought 802.11ac was 5Ghz only.

I have rb922UAGS-5HPacD as indoor access point with R11e-2HPnD for 2.4Ghz clients. I modified a case meant for rb411/711.
I still need to drill some holes for antenna pigtails.
