Serial number <-> Mac address

Mon Sep 15, 2014 9:54 pm

Hello,

I've got some units in the wild, for support reasons it would be extremely useful to map serial numbers to mac addresses and/or vice versa. Do you have a database or a text file where I can get this info?

I'm using rb951g-2hnd if that helps.

Cheers

Nothing?

If its a security risk, can I get the info for just the orders I've made and will make?

Cheers

The devices have many MAC addresses, one for each port. There is no easy way to get this info. We certainly don't have a ready made solution for it. You could write some kind of script that exports such info from a working router

my guess is topicstarter asking about full list of mac-adresses of particular models by providing serial numbers for them ;) w/o warrant )
or imply thats they are generated on serial number -basis and hope that MikroTik leak/share such IP/math
which is unlikely, cuz AFAIK most vendors do then seriously RANDOM.
