Dual chain 900Mhz?

Tue Sep 16, 2014 2:34 am

Are there any plans for a dual chain 900Mhz device? RB911G-9HPnD for instance? I'm looking for an alternative to the rather junky LocoM900 from ubiquiti. The Metal 9Hn looks good, but dual chain is where it's at!

from what I can tell, the Metal 9Hn is just a 2.4Ghz radio shifted down to 900Mhz, that implies to me that there shouldn't be too much of an issue doing a dual chain MIMO device w/ same technique on an RB911G or something like that.

there was 900Mhz, 450Mhz and 145Mhz mPCI boards and some of them - compatible with RouterOS and mikrotik devices.
so far i know, MikroTik make only devices for ISM bands, and 900Mhz had such status in quite limited number of countries, thus reducing acctractivity of reseasing such product dramatically, economically.

Zorro,
http://routerboard.com/RBMetal9HPn

new 900Mhz product.

but it's only single chain. dual chain MIMO is good for 2-3dBm of noise mitigation and a significant speed bump. Pretty important when you are limited to 'G' speeds and have limited channels to work with.

I have a few areas that the only thing that will cut through is sub-1Ghz, and 900Mhz is the only thing reasonable we can get into at the moment.
