Sierra MC8755 Lenovo 3G card is not recognized

Mon Oct 13, 2014 5:44 pm

Anyone have this issue?

Sierra Wireless MC8755 mPCIe is not recognized by routerboard. I have try it on couple of new Basebox2 without help.

There is nothing in resources.

It has Lenovo number on it, and seller have test it in Lenovo T60.

But routerboard does not recognize it. I have try several restarts...

Anyone has this problems? Does it need additional drivers?

Picture of it is in attach.

I too had a Sierra Wireless card - don't remember what model, but it was the only one which didn't work with any of my routerboards.

You don't see the card in the system resource USB menu or the ppp-out interface isn't working.
If it isn't working then look up in internet about this card as on some of the Sierra cards there was some pin on the card that needs to be blocked (no contact).
If you don't see the usb device, check the /system routerboard usb menu to see if the usb is set to mini-pcie.

Have try to change USB type with command:
/system routerboard usb set type=mini-PCIe
get error, after better look on documentation find:
/system routerboard usb set use=mini-PCIe
And it worked. I can get to the card and edit ppp connection.

Thanks on help
