We have an old RB532A which is still in production and working very well. It's no longer a front line device but performs some back end functions which are useful. It's a great example of how reliable the Routerboard hardware is, despite the age of the device.

It's currently running RouterOS version 5.26 and has been very stable. I've been wondering whether or not to upgrade it to RouterOS 6.X. There's no specific functionality that I'm chasing, but more a desire to have all devices "patched" to the same version number from a consistency and management perspective.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with moving a RB532A to RouterOS 6.X? Is this a good idea or should we just leave it at 5.26 for the remainder of its life?

Although it should work fine with v6 as well, there are no compatibility issues, so you can safely leave it running as it is.
