I think - it is bug in brochurePassively cooled device with speed controlled fan? Is this some new definition of passive cooling?
Now that this is officially up on the Mikrotik site, I'm wondering if someone from Mikrotik could comment if this passively cooled model would be a better option than the other CCR1009 models for solar powered sites? How much difference should we expect to see in power consumption compared to the fan based models? Is the operating temperature range greater, lower, or the same as the other CCR1009 models?now on webpage: http://routerboard.com/CCR1009-8G-1S-1SplusPC
Didn't notice the CPU speed. If you are looking at "Performance test results" table they are having same performance BUT I am not sure if Mikrotik copy paste the table lolaccording to specs it has a 1ghz cpu that is 200mhz less than "normal" ccr1009 surely its to lower the power consumption.
will be nice to have power consumption info
It was just released to distributors. Still flying to them. Wait a few daysHmmm can not find this product even in the Europe
Hi normis, thanks for your information, waiting eagerly to buy this router even from oversea distributorIt was just released to distributors. Still flying to them. Wait a few daysHmmm can not find this product even in the Europe
Can you be a little more specific on what you mean by that? Both of them support ALL VPN methods RouterOS has to offer...But I am disappointed by its ability to perform with whatever VPN method I might be forced to use compared to the RB1100AHx2.
Where did you get this information about GCM?I am thinking about GRE/IPSEC for example, because GCM is not hardware-based at the moment, and there is not roadmap for it.
Search for GCM, Mikrotik said it.Where did you get this information about GCM?I am thinking about GRE/IPSEC for example, because GCM is not hardware-based at the moment, and there is not roadmap for it.
Yes, it is not clear in the documentation so I just verified this for a customer. Both of the CCR1009 1S+ models link up with a standard SM SFP (S-31DLC20D) in the SFP+ ports and a SM fiber connection. I also checked an SFP+ port to an SFP port and that works as well in the CCR1009 with 1S+.Would somebosy clear, can it work with two SPF modules (like S-31DLC20D)?
In other words, in this router SFP+ sloth is compatible with SFP modules, to build ring?
performance test now are updated and shows a little less performance on passive modelDidn't notice the CPU speed.
