RB912UAG 5HPnD and R11e 5HnD problem

Tue Feb 10, 2015 9:04 am

Have you experienced about RB912UAG 5HPnD and R11e 5HnD problem?
We have some problem of working with them. When both radio modules are enabled there seems to be a problem of interference that makes unstable the rb912.
Our example is to use the integrated radio module as station-bridge (wlan1) and r11 (wlan2) as AP-bridge.
The cpe associated on r11 after few minutes lose the recording.

We tested it with several different r11 and ROS but the same result, is it possible that we bought a number of damaged r11?

Are you utilizing nstreme or nv2? What channels are you using for each card? What are the channel widths set to (10,20,20/40)?

Was there ever any resolution to this issue? We experience the same on 6 different netmetal rb922ac with R11e ac installed. ros=6.30.1. Slow, erratic throughput on either radio. Sawtooth performance from 10Mbs down to 1Mbs. Frequent timeouts (wireless stays connected). Occurs even if the other radio is disabled. Everything else the same: antennae, frequency, channel width, protocol, etc, downgrading to rb433ah with r52hn PtMP clients test steadily at 20Mbs+. We've been dealing with this for weeks, with no improvement. Our conclusion is that R11e does not work with netmetal. Suggestions appreciated.

After the RB433 I do not think there is more a board that properly handle two radio modules. We have removed all the R11s and now we use one board 912/922 for each sector.
