RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN (Switch / Bridge Clarification)

Tue Feb 24, 2015 6:19 am

Hi Folks,

I've setup my RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN as such

sfp1: WAN, master: none
ether1: LAN, master: none
ether2: master: ether1
ether3: master: ether1
ether4: master: ether1
ether5: master: ether1

bridge-local: includes ether1, wlan1

With this configuration I notice ether1 is listed as running as a slave. Is this because it is part of the bridge? Do I still get switch speed from the ports ether1-5?

Yes, you get switch speed and additionally 5 ports are member of bridge (once Ether1 is added to bridge).
